Money laundering activities pose significant threats to the digital asset trading ecosystem, fostering corrupt practices, undermining societal integrity, compromising user rights, destabilizing trading platform operations, and exposing platforms to heightened legal and operational vulnerabilities. To effectively combat money laundering and terrorism financing, and to ensure full compliance with applicable legal frameworks, ETZ has established these Guidelines.

Application Scope

These Guidelines govern all registered users of the ETZ platform (referred to herein as "the Platform"). Users must adhere to anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism financing legislation applicable in their respective jurisdictions, implementing these Guidelines within the legal parameters of their local regulations. Where local legislation imposes more stringent requirements, such provisions shall take precedence.

Definition and Scope

Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing encompasses measures implemented by ETZ pursuant to applicable legislation and ETZ compliance protocols to prevent illicit actors from utilizing the Platform to obscure or disguise the origin and character of proceeds derived from narcotics trafficking, organized crime, terrorist operations, contraband, embezzlement, financial deception, violations of financial regulatory frameworks, and similar unlawful activities.

Platform AML Operational Framework

The Platform conducts customer risk surveillance based on the following framework:

Comprehensive Coverage Principle. The Platform evaluates all potential money laundering risk factors associated with customers and implements appropriate risk monitoring procedures for the entire customer base.

Due Diligence Principle. Through thorough customer understanding, the Platform enhances its capacity for customer identification and exercises prudent judgment in risk monitoring activities.

Continuous Monitoring Principle. The Platform maintains ongoing vigilance regarding customer risk profiles and adjusts responses according to evolving circumstances.

Confidentiality Principle. Customer identity data, transaction records, and risk classifications maintained by the Platform remain strictly confidential and shall not be disclosed to any entity or individual except as mandated by legal requirements or regulatory directives.

Risk-Based Approach Principle. The Platform conducts periodic reviews of customer information commensurate with assigned risk levels, applying enhanced scrutiny to higher-risk customers compared to lower-risk counterparts.

Individual User Documentation Requirements

Individual users must provide the following information and documentation pursuant to ETZ Anti-Money Laundering protocols:

Full legal name
Identity card or passport photocopy
Additional information or documentation as requested by ETZ

Institutional User Documentation Requirements

Institutional users must provide the following information and documentation pursuant to ETZ Anti-Money Laundering protocols:

Corporate legal name
Registered business address of the legal representative
Legal representative identification
Identity card or passport photocopy of the legal representative
Corporate registration certificate
Identity card or passport photocopy of the legal representative
Additional information or documentation as requested by ETZ

Documentation Verification Process

The Platform verifies and records customer-submitted information in accordance with the customer identification framework established under ETZ Anti-Money Laundering protocols. Should the Platform identify inconsistencies or require clarification regarding submitted information, it reserves the right to conduct verification through relevant regulatory or governmental authorities.

Lower-Risk Customer Oversight

The Platform monitors lower-risk customers according to specifications outlined in ETZ Anti-Money Laundering regulations, and maintains discretion to reclassify customer risk levels as circumstances warrant.

Higher-Risk Customer Oversight

For customers classified as higher-risk, the Platform conducts semi-annual assessments to refresh customer identity information and obtain current details regarding funding sources, capital utilization, financial condition, or operational status.

Record Retention Protocols

The Platform implements legally compliant measures to preserve customer identity records and transaction data for specified retention periods. Consistent with international standards, user identity information shall be retained for a minimum of one year following termination of the business relationship and completion of transactions.

User Obligations and Restrictions

Users must observe the following requirements:

Account lending to third parties is strictly prohibited
Lending or leasing of identity documents is strictly prohibited
Disclosure, lending, or leasing of account credentials, passwords, or other sensitive personal financial information is strictly prohibited
Users must cooperate fully with Platform customer identification procedures

Reporting Suspicious Activities

Should Platform users identify any account potentially involved in money laundering or terrorism financing activities during Platform transactions, users are encouraged to submit reports to the Platform.
